About the Carriage Quarters

A fully restored 1860 brick home on Union Street with original wood floors and period antiques. The kitchen has modern appliances and a dining table that expands to seat 8. The primary bedroom has a queen bed and the second bedroom has two singles. Two full bathrooms serve the house, one with a clawfoot tub worth building an evening around.

The theatre room

The finished attic is the surprise of the house: a theatre room with a 75" screen and surround sound. The couch and lounge chairs convert into a queen and two twin XL floor mattresses when the group needs more sleeping space.

Outside

Nearly half an acre of yard, one of the largest in the historic district, plus a front porch and an upper balcony. Fire pit with wood provided, BBQ grill, disc golf basket and string lights. Two dedicated off-street parking spaces with more on the street out front.

Good to know

The house predates hallways. The stairs open into the main bedroom, and the bathroom is reached through the second bedroom, so neither bedroom is private. The original spiral stairways are narrow with small steps, and the theatre room ceiling peaks at about 6'. Dogs are welcome; the yard is partly fenced. Please ask before booking for dogs over 30 lbs or more than 2 animals. Rental license HM-19-25-166.

The neighborhood

Snallygaster's Cafe, Kelley Farm Kitchen and The Barn's live music are steps away. Lower Town, Harpers Ferry National Historical Park, the Appalachian Trail and the C&O Canal Towpath are all within walking distance, and the Amtrak/MARC station is an easy walk, so you can visit without a car.
